Sep-Pak Alumina N Vac cartridges contain a highly active grade of alumina with a neutral surface chemistry. The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This neutral alumina is suitable for applications such as synthetic crude oil fractionation. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This acidic alumina is also low-capacity ion exchanger in aqueous media. Unlike polymer-based ion exhangers, this sorbent is unaffected by high-energy radioactivity and can be used for radioactive compound isolation. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.

The 6 cc Oasis HLB cartridges contain the Oasis HLB sorbent, which is a universal polymeric reversed-phase sorbent that was developed for the extraction of a wide range of acidic, basic, and neutral compounds from various matrices using a simple, generic protocol. Since the Oasis HLB sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. Sep-Pak Amino Propyl (NH2) Vac RC cartridges contain a moderately polar, silica-based bonded phase with weakly basic surface. The sorbent can be used as a polar sorbent with different selectivity for acidic/basic analytes or as a weak anion exchanges in aqueous medium below pH 8. Applications include extraction of phenols and phenolic pigments, petroleum fractionation, saccharides and drugs and metabolites. These cartridges feature an integral 20 cc funnel-shaped reservoir for convenient processing of larger volumes of samples. They can be used with robotic sample preparation equipment or with vacuum manifolds.
